Due to the environment and the climate, Taoyuan has developed its unique farm ponds of geological landscape, which could be used for the agriculture and at the same time support rich ecosystems, creating leisure spaces. Shalom Arts curated an exhibition gathering the study of aquatic culture from Mr. Jiang, a teacher from the Wu-Ling Senior High School in Taoyuan and his students. This exhibition was held at the Department of Cultural Affairs, Taoyuan from May 23 to June 24 in 2012. Aquatic Culture Exhibition explores the history of aquatic culture, the recovery of farm ponds, the transformation of the environment, cleaning the river, ecological restoration, and the research studies of water conservation. Through the discussions of aquatic culture from abstract to concrete, we hope to inspire people more cherishing the water resources and our land in Taoyuan. Ultimately, this exhibition aims to initiate a movement of water recycling at home, and to participate diversely in ecological conservation.
