Brief Description
位於大直的國防部乃從市中心區的博愛路遷移而來，因而名為「博愛分案」。隨著時代變遷，「國防」的觀點及意義也跟著改變。國防安全及國防意識已不純粹只是武器系統的建構或軍事戰爭對抗，而是一種全新「價值」的展現。喜恩文化藝術公司於97年經評選獲勝，開始規畫此總經費高達新台幣一億元公共藝術案，提出【藝氣越山河，國防啟新象】的設置計畫主題及理念，期望此公共藝術設置計畫，能提升大直地區之整體藝文形象，且表彰我國國防事務展開新局。
此案分A1、A2、B、C1及C2五個設置區域。經由公開徵選方式招標，選出國內五間頂尖藝術團隊執行設置。其中A1與A2區設置於營區外左右兩轉角空間，提供民眾參與欣賞為主；並以「全民國防」為主軸，呈現「全民國防的理念與願景」、「國防結合民生」及「全民支持參與國防」等概念。B、C1及C2區設置於營區內各公共空間，提供官兵及國內外來賓欣賞為主。
